Our entire scout group is run by volunteers, so we warmly welcome any additional help!

We most often need help with:

• Driving to and from trips
• Support at Friday meetings

📋 A typical meeting

We begin by ‘falling in’. Scouts stand in a horseshoe, we break the flag and introduce the meeting.

Most meetings will have one core activity, which scouts will do in their patrols (more on that below!) You can see the kinds of things we do in our programme directory.

If there’s time we’ll have games (eg: dodgeball) before ‘falling out’. This is where we announce results from the meeting competition (if it’s being run as one!), do reminders of upcoming trips, and finally lower the flag.

Each meeting has a leader in charge, who’ll have assigned themselves to the role in the leader rota. They’ll usually send out the weekly email, prep any materials needed for the programme and lead ‘falling in’ and ‘falling out’.
